Decoding the Brand Name and Logo

The Brand Name and the Logo reflect a creative amalgamation of various elements that signify the essence and intent of this Mobile solution.It has been named after the Palm Leaves, which have been used as writing material since 5th Century BCE; with their earliest usage found in India and other parts of South Asia. They have been known to treasure some of the most profound treatise of knowledge that live on to this day.Besides, a ‘Leaf’ in some ways connotes the need for overall crispness and succinctness of the knowledge that gets conveyed on it.

This aspect is the true inspiration of the overall learning solution. The prefix ‘Palm’ conveys the technology enabled utility for the end-user. Being a smart phone based solution, it can literally work out of a user’s hand, and provides learning & ‘connect’ on the go.The Logo reflects juxtaposed graphics of a smart phone and palm leaf intertwined into a book. It is also a Mirror. Both views reflect learning. The tip-ends of the palm leaf on the right also reflect feathers or wings, depicting motion – Learning & ‘Connect’ on the go.The top part of the logo is marked by unequal angular lines that reflect varying needs of learning, besides signifying reams of pages of the book. This is to communicate the vastness of learning opportunities and the potential that it carries.

The angular formation of the English letter ‘V’ reflects victory, glory and success that comes from its manifestation.It also reflects flight of a bird and speed – Meant to communicate growth through acquisition of knowledge at will. Anywhere Violet/Purple in psychology reflects imagination, idealism and introspection. Green reflects freshness, vitality, growth, harmony and balance. Green is also meant to reflect that in essence we are all beginners. That we possibly possess only limited view in an ever-changing world with expanding horizons. Colors that signify the need for newer awareness; that enable and endure learning.
